The evermass

Species Name: The evermass (a.k.a omnibiology)
Physiological Description: City sized gigantic telepathic, sentient coral.
Biological History: Developing vastly complex vibratory and refractory light and sound systems the coral gained function over its own destiny and control over its physical being. Reproduction is done through spores.
Social Structure: Under water those closest to the mirror of excellence* are considered great leaders and heroes of the race. No gender exists amongst the Evermass but as of late those closer to the mirror of excellence have been channeling the emotions of nearby species and settlements on the surface planet.
*This refers to the surface of the vast almost planet sized ocean where the evermas dwells.
Native Culture: Each Evermass wants to break the surface and die having left there eternal mark on the universe. Such is the all dominating religion. Belief differs, so believe that only once you have died aiding another of the great pilgrimage can you yourself successfully ascend whereas others believe in more self determined goals.
Factions: The redemptionist believe only through pure understanding can the evermass thrive with the universe and its contents. The domanists believe that pure sporal conquest of the known galaxy is the only acceptable option to spread the holy expression of the Omnibilogys sacred telepathic mind. Minor factions include the Prometheans who believe that the evermass is destined to struggle eternally never gaining favour from the universe, that the young are getting too weak to break the surface. As well as the core seekers, who intend to discover the power of inverted growth and go to, what the evermass would call, vile efforts to do so.

Faction Type: The elder mass
Planets: Bendakquarth, the great cradle of the evermass. Hyrthurth the war planet of golden sun. The many moons of gwiteens.
Culture: "Seekers of the holy glory, light and response of the universe evermass", or seekers for short is the dominate religion.
Technology: The control of minerals allows for feats of bizarre technology including the spore faster than light travel gates that seen to work on psychic energy and little understood living material. The coral have rarely had reason to war. They have instead of weapons developed biological systems that produce and release vast, vast, amounts of spores and distributes that across the battlefield (and in some cases entire planet) with a burst of dying psychic energy.
Military Forces: The cult of Dominance use the faster than light travel to invade and infest other planets against there will. The practice however is frowned upon. On their home planet however the evermass has several underwater slave races they employ for protection but due to the powerful destructive pychic nature of such a collection of evermass they are rarely called upon.
