"Welcome to Channel 42 News, it's news alright. I'm Venchol, your host, and today we have some exciting news from the Chamber of Leaders!" A sidebar slides out from the left side of the screen, displaying an image of a well dressed male shooting another well dressed male while Vulojalon around them argue. "You see folks, the deadlock amongst the tribal leaders of the CSTP on how to handle the aliens encountered months ago has FINALLY been broken. Not only that, only five of the leaders were killed on the floor of the Chamber this time! The deciding vote was concluded just hours ago, with thirty four percent of the Chamber in favor of opening diplomatic channels. Twenty six percent of the chamber was in favor of declaring war, thirteen percent favored violent isolationism, twelve percent abstained, ten percent favored a wait and see approach, and five percent were killed on the floor of the Chamber."
The image on the sidebar fades, and is replaced by an image of an assembly line. "In an unprecedented case of our government showing what might be called competence, the Chamber has ordered an upscale in ship production. Thousands of fighters and hundreds of frigates are expected to start rolling off the assembly lines, and four capital ships have begun construction. Enrollment in our armed forces is up by forty percent and with any luck, we'll have pilots to man these new craft."
The sidebar fades again, this time to a image of Rozo-IV taken from orbit. "The colonization ships destined for Rozo-IV left today. The four destroyer class vessels CSTP Sozhen, CSTP Vuluzhen, CSTP Nekkezhen, and CSTP Aduezhen are scheduled to reach the planet in two months time, with their compliments of thirty five hundred cryogenicly frozen Jalonsicles and three hundred marines, each. A fifth destroyer, the CSTP Bozhen, will be following the convoy with enough materials to establish a proper manufacturing center on the planet's surface."
The sidebar slides back into the left side of the screen. "Finally our last bit of news for the day, seriously I am tired of being around these people, is related to the research taking place on Jittnir. After the lay offs over the last few months, the facility has finally had a breakthrough. It just goes to show that killing off the weakest really IS best for society. Experiments with both high and low frequency radiation have shown promise as replacements for the EM Radiation emitted by most modern scanners."
